FINISHES
Lamination
GLOSS
A gloss coating brightens up the finish and adds depth to the labels colour and detail. It produces a smooth surface and adds sheen. The gloss coating increases colour saturation, and improves image contrast. Gloss protection also works well for heavy use products such as foods with squeezable containers.
MATTE
Matte coating is mainly used on labels designed to create a refined, muted and sophisticated look. Matte is non-reflective and will enhance readability and make make text-heavy labels easier to read. Often used to soften appearance or to create a more premium look.
Varnishing
Varnish is a liquid finish applied to seal in and protect the ink on the printed surface. It is available in gloss, matte, and UV, and is usually matched to the coating of the underlying paper.
This coating helps prevent the colours and images on your labels from fading so that your design can stand the test of time.
